SNOW FALLS SHORT ON ROAD TO REIGNING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
By Jon Gillespie
Snow Falls 87-75

SALT LAKE CITY- With three minutes left in the game and his team surging, Sophomore Point Guard Jordan Wood squared away from 3-point range and fired away, Wood's shots which could have cut the Salt Lake Community College lead to four went all the way in and rolled out. It was the last shot the Badgers had to attempt a stunning comeback upset in an 87-75 loss at the hands of the reigning National Champions.

The Badgers and Bruins went back and forth for the first ten minutes of a physical game. Salt Lake’s strong defense got the best of the Badgers forcing a total of 20 turnovers in the contest.

Snow found themselves down by 15 pts at the half and out of the break this quickly turned to a game high 19 point deficit. However, the young, scrappy Badgers used a big run midway through the second half led by Corbin Green. Green, the Freshman from Olympus High School came off the bench firing drilling two deep three pointers and then an old fashioned three point play as part of a 16-4 run which brought Snow to 62-56 with 10:05 remaining. However, the Badgers could get no closer.

"That is as good a team as we will face all year," said Wood. "We kept battling and we are learning what it takes to compete in this league."

Green led the Badgers with 17 points while Wood added 15. Freshman Justin Vorwaller came off the bench to add 11.

The Badgers now hit the road for two road-game rematches. They face Southern Idaho on Thursday be squaring off with first place North Idaho on Saturday evening.
