SLCC MEN TOP BADGERS

Snow Loses 86-65

EPHRAIM - Snow College found it hard to claw back from an early deficit and the tough-minded Bruins held off the Badgers 86-65 Saturday night at the Snow College gymnasium.

The Bruins jumped out to an early 15-6 lead at the first media break and never looked back. Midway through the second half Snow got it back to twelve at 69-57, but SLCC ran off 10 consecutive points to win going away.

Colin Chiverton and Darian Norris led the Bruins with 18 and 17 points respectively.

Snow was led by Freshman Reggie Shaw who scored 23 points and Jordan Wood who finished with 15.

The Badgers fall to 3-11 in conference play and 9-15 overall while SLCC moved to within a game of first-place North Idaho in the SWAC with a 10-4 record and 19-5 overall.

Next up for the Badgers is a home rematch against North Idaho on Friday and Saturday against the College of Southern Idaho as they try to build momentum heading to next month's SWAC tournament.
