JANICEK, KOELLIKER, PANTER EARN ALL-REGION BASKETBALL HONORS

EPHRAIM, UT (March 13, 2016) — At the conclusion of the 2015-16 men's basketball season, the Scenic West Athletic Conference has announced its All-Tournament and All-Region honors. Among those receiving honors are Badgers Norbert  Janicek, Braden Koelliker and Riley Panter

Janicek, a native of Drazkovce, Slovakia, earned both All-SWAC first-team honors, as well as All-Tournament recognition. Janicek led the Badgers with 28 points and 14 rebounds in Snow's 103-87 victory over USU-Eastern in the first round of the Scenic West Athletic Conference tournament. On the season, the 6-11 freshman averaged 15.6 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per contest. He also led the team in field goal percentage, shooting 62.5 percent from the field. Janicek will be transferring to Utah State and will be playing for the Aggies next season. 

Koelliker, a 6-8 freshman from Kaysville, Utah, earned second team All-Region honors after averaging 13.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Koelliker twice scored a season-best 24 points against Salt Lake Community College, helping the Badgers split regular-season contests with the Bruins. Koelliker was also the Badgers' leading rebounder in 18 different games this season.

Riley Panter, a 6-3 guard from Logan, Utah, earned honorable mention All-SWAC honors after averaging 9.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. In addition, Panter led the team with a .815 free throw percentage and totaled a team-best 58 three-pointers on the season.
