EPHRAIM, Utah (Oct. 22, 2019) -- In its inaugural season, the Snow College E-Sports team is off to a great start. The Badgers compete in three different games, including
Rocket League,
Madden 19 and
Smash Bros. Ultimate
Currently, the Rocket League team is in second place following an opening round victory. The Rocket League team had a bye this past week. The Madden 19 team moved in to fifth place this past week Kobe Mooney defeated his opponent from Utah State Eastern. Jarrod Dean lost to Hinds Community College, and Garrett Kimball lost a close game, 20-21, to Garden City Community College.Â
In Smash Ultimate, Jett Leloux defeated USC Sumter, 2-0, Clint Nielson defeated Fort Scott C.C., 2-0, Canyon Smith beat Arizona Western, 2-0, Jordan Stauffer beat Arizona Western, 2-0, and Cody Best defeated Fort Scott C.C., 2-0. Best is currently ranked No. 1 in Group B of the Smash Ultimate standings.Â
The Madden 19 team will compete Tuesday, Oct. 22, the Rocket League group will play Wednesday evening, Oct. 23, and the Smash Bros. Ultimate team will play on Thursday, Oct. 24. All matches will begin at 5 p.m. (MT). Games are contested in the ESports room, located in the Horne Activity Center.Â
