Prior to Snow College
Michael Shreeve begins his first season as head coach of the Snow College women's basketball team after being hired in the spring of 2026.
Shreeve comes to Snow College after spending the previous four seasons at Utah Valley University. He has served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Wolverines since 2022. He served on the staff that led the Wolverines to their winningest season in program history, as they went 19-13 in 2024-25.

After winning its first game of the Western Athletic Conference tournament, the Wolverines suffered a loss in the semifinal game. Subsequently, they were invited to the Women’s National Invitational Tournament, where they earned their first postseason victory in program history – a 70-64 win over Air Force Academy.

While at UVU, he helped develop an All-WAC 2
nd-Team, All-Defensive Team, and All-Freshman Team selection (Cambree Blackham), the Co-Sixth Player of the Year (Kylee Mabry), and an All-Defensive Team selection (Tahlia White).

During the 2025-26 season, he helped the Wolverines become the WAC’s top defensive team. They ranked third in the nation in steals per game, fourth in turnovers forced per game, and seventh in turnover margin.

Before his time at UVU, Shreeve served as the film coordinator at Rice University for one season, following three years at Brigham Young University, where he was the graduate assistant coach and interim director of basketball operations. He helped the Cougars reach the second round of the NCAA National Tournament twice.

Throughout his coaching career, Shreeve has coached one team to a conference tournament championship, two to conference tournament championship appearances, two to NCAA Tournament appearances, and coached 10 players who have signed professional contracts.

Shreeve graduated from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2018. He then proceeded to earn a master’s degree in mass communications from BYU in 2021. Shreeve prepped at Kuna High School in Kuna, Idaho, where he graduated in 2011.
Michael and his wife, Mandalee, are the proud parents of four children.
