Prior to Snow College

Shawn Gubeli returns to lead the cheer squad after serving as the head coach between 2021 and 2022.  Prior to his time at Snow College, Gubeli was the assistant cheer coach at Juab High School from 2014-2020
 
During his time at the helm at Snow College, Gubeli helped lead the team to a 2^nd-place finish at the USA College Nationals in 2021.  At Juab High School, Gubeli's teams were named the 3A Co-Ed State Champions in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2020.
 
Gubeli also was a member of the Snow College cheer team from 2009- 2011 and was the male captain for the 2010-2011 season.  Following his time at Snow College, he moved on to cheer at Southern Utah University from 2011-2013. 
 
Since 2015, Gubeli has been working as a Head Instructor for United Spirit Association Varsity Brand.  In his spare time, he also serves as a National High School Varsity Judge and a Varsity Brand All-Star Judge.
 
Gubeli graduated from Gunnison Valley High School in 2009.
 
Gubeli believes Snow College can be considered one of the country's best Junior Colleges. "I'm looking forward to competing at the NJCAA level and making this year the first steppingstone to a new path for the program."
