Snow wraps up preseason

The Lady Badgers wrapped up their preseason this past weekend in the Western Wyoming Tournament.  Snow went 2-2 at the tournament and 4-8 and in the preseason.
Snow Lost to the #2 team in the nation, Western Wyoming Community College twice which accounted for their two losses this weekend.  They have been the only team to take Western Wyoming to five games this year and one of three teams to take a game from them this year.
They dominated Dawson beating them in three matches and also had strong play against Sheridan beating them in four sets.
The weekend saw the return from outside hitter Amy Sorensen, who has been sidelined with an injury all of preseason. Sorensen had 30 kills on 66 swings with only 11 errors in 13 games. Niurka Toribio had another strong weekend contributing a team leading 54 kills.  Kat Kendall continues to develop and had her best weekend thus far with 26 kills on 53 swings and only 8 errors.  Kendall led the team in hitting efficiency with a .340 average.
Coach Keven John said, "We are playing well and getting better each week.  This weekend was not an exception. I saw real growth. We connected with our quick hitters better and opened up some free swings with overloads and misdirection."
Snow's serving has been hit or miss and they will look to improve it this weekend as the open up conference at home.  They will be taking on College of Southern Idaho Friday at 7:00pm, following North Idaho on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
