Ephraim, UT --- Women's Volleyball has started their season strong and now their efforts are showing up in the national stat books.

Collectively, Snow College is ranked in the NJCAA Preseason Top 20 poll coming in at number 17.  Reaching the Top 10 list with team stats, the Lady Badgers are ranked 9th in kills per set (12.31), 8th in assists (295), 6th in total blocks (72) and total kills (357).

The lady Badgers have rallied a total 25 individual National rankings, eight of which are in the Top 10. #Taylor Castillo# is ranked 9th in kills per set (3.20), 6th in total points (84.5) and, 3rd in total kills (80). At 6'2, #Brenna DeYoung# is using her height advantage against opponents and is ranked 2nd nationally in blocks (29) and is 7th in blocks per set (1.32). #Kelsie Rathmann# is sitting 8th in assists (218). #Amy Sorenson# has nailed a total 72 kills and scored (82) points, putting her at 6th in the nation in both categories.  At just five blocks behind DeYoung, #Katie Vincent# joins the Top 10 rankings at 7th in total blocks (24).

The team's 6-2 record is raising eyebrows of the Scenic West Athletic Conference competitor's, as the preseason is coming to a close and conference play begins in two weeks.

Come support the Ladies this weekend in their home opener invitational tournament.  They will play at 3pm against Utah All-Stars and 7pm against Colby Community College on Friday. Saturday games are at 11am against Sheridan Community College, the 1pm game will be between the 1st and 4th seeds and the 3pm game will be between the 2nd and 3rd seeds..  The championship game will be played at 5pm.
