EPHRAIM -- The Snow College Lady Badgers are off to a fast start with three wins at the Holiday Inn Classic tournament at Rock Springs, Wyo., last weekend. Western Wyoming Community College hosted the event and was one of five Top 20 NJCAA teams in the field.
Snow College opened play on Friday with a five-set winner over the host Mustangs of Western Wyoming who came into the tournament ranked No. 6 nationally. After losing the first set 20-25, the Lady Badgers came back to win three of the final four sets, 25-13, 25-21, 11-25 and 15-9, for the win.

Snow followed that with a pair of wins Saturday to finish undefeated in the tournament. The Badgers downed Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) foe, Colorado Northwestern 25-15, 25-15, 25-8 in straight sets. They then closed out play later on Saturday with a four-set win over Northwest College (Powell, Wyo.) 25-20, 14-25, 25-23, 25-15.

The tournament field also included SWAC teams from College of Southern Idaho (ranked No. 3 nationally), Salt Lake Community College (ranked No. 8) and Utah State University - Eastern. San Jacinto Central (Texas), ranked No. 10 in the nation, was also in the field.
Snow travels to Salt Lake this weekend to play in the "Crystal Inn"vitational hosted by Salt Lake Community College (SLCC). All matches will be played inside Bruin Arena on the SLCC Taylorsville Redwood Campus.
