Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 The Lady Badgers picked up their first win of the preseason in the STARR Corporation Invitational.
 
In their final match of the tournament, Snow defeated No.16 Central Florida 3-2 (26-24, 26-24, 11-25, 14-25, 15-13).  The Lady Badgers took an early 2-0 lead and were able to hold on to victory in the 5^th set after an impressive rally by Central Florida.
 
"It was an incredible performance by our freshmen this week," says Head Coach Cinthia Angus.  "This team has a lot of potential that needs to mature and a win against a very good Central Florida team has proved that." 
 
Snow nearly took down No. 15 Hutchinson in the first day of the tournament, but fell short of the win at 2-3 (23-25- 25-17, 25-17, 24-26, 15-17).
 
The Lady Badgers also got an early look at No. 5 Salt Lake before conference play begins in two weeks.  Snow kept the sets close, but could not secure victory in a difficult match the ended 1-3 in favor of Salt Lake (19-25, 23-25, 25-19, 23-25).
 
"Different players stepped it up at different times during this tournament," Coach Angus said.  "We were happy to see their improvement as the tournament went on."
 
Snow will head to Arizona this weekend for more preseason action as they take on Mesa, Scottsdale, South Mountain and Chandler-Gilbert on Sept. 18^th and 19^th.
