Box Score RANGELY, Colo. (Sept. 30, 2916) -- The seventh-ranked Snow College women's volleyball team picked up a crucial Scenic West road victory over Colorado Northwestern on Friday evening, defeating the Spartans in three straight sets, 25-19, 25-20, 25-18.
"For anyone who thinks playing a team with only two wins on the season is going to be a walk in the park, they have seriously underestimated CNCC," head coach Jeff Reynolds said. "The Spartans are a good team. They played hard and gave us a tough match. We had to come out and play extremely sharp tonight. I'm really pleased with how our team responded to the challenge and took control of the match. This was an important win for us. It's always important to pick up a conference road win."
Sophomore Brin Stewart led the SC attack with a match high 12 kills on 24 attempts (.292), while freshman Kelsie Evans racked up eight kills on 10 swings. Sophomore Alisi's Tauteoli had a match-high 35 assists.
Defensively, Snow out blocked CNCC, 20-8. The Badgers were led by redshirt freshman Rebecca Bigler with six blocks. Sydnie Martindale was credited with a team-best 17 digs.
