Box Score MESA, Ariz. (December 28, 2016) — The Snow College men's basketball team finished with four players in double digits to hold off Mesa CC, 81-67, on Wednesday at the Fiesta Bowl Shootout.  With the win, the Badgers improve to 11-1 on the season.

Snow jumped to a 30-8 lead over Mesa in the first half before the Thunderbirds went on a 10-2 scoring run.  Behind a combined 29 first-half points from Zach Hunsaker and Blake Truman, the Badgers took a 27-point lead to the locker room at the break.

While the Badgers would eventually take a 30-point lead early in the second half, the Thunderbirds mounted a comeback to cut the lead to 14 as the clock expired. Hunsaker lead the Badgers with 24 points and was followed by Truman with 13 points, Riley Panter chipped in 12 points and Nate Bruneel was credited with 10 points as Snow College finished with a 14-point victory. 

Snow College will play again tomorrow at the Fiesta Bowl Shootout at 6 p.m., taking on the winner of Big Bend and San Bernadino. Fans can watch a live feed of the game by clicking here.
