Defense, Serving Keys to Second Straight Victory

Box Score NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nevada (Aug. 26, 2016) — Fresh off a dominating three-game victory over nationally-ranked Yavapai College, the Snow College women's volleyball team cruised to a decisive three-set victory over Sheridan College, 25-11, 25-19, 25-16. The Badgers combined for 35 kills on 64 attempts to post a blistering .453 attack percentage.

"This was a nice way to cap off our first day at the Coyote Invitational," Snow College head coach Jeff Reynolds said. "We were able to maintain the momentum from our first match and take care of business against Sheridan with outstanding defense and impressive serving. We had the opportunity to play a lot of kids, which is always a nice. This win was a total team effort. Everyone contributed."

For the second straight match, sophomore Sydnie Martindale led the Badgers with nine digs, averaging 4.5 digs per set. Snow posted 12 blocks in the match with five players having at least two blocks each. Serving also played an important part in the Badgers' victory with 10 aces against the Generals.
