Box Score 2 TWIN FALLS, Idaho (December 15, 2017) – The Snow College men's basketball team came away with two victories at the Hilex Poly Invitational basketball tournament in Twin Falls, Idaho over the weekend, including an 81-72 win over Laramie County and a 114-65 victory over Blue Mountain.
In the first match-up on Friday, Snow used a 14-1 second half run to erase an 11 point deficit to pick up a nine-point victory over Laramie County. Snow point guard
Logan Hokanson led the way in scoring with 17 points, while
Romain Boxus chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. The Badgers bench outscored Laramie's bench players 32-2, led by
Traycer Wilson's 12 points and five rebounds.Â
On Saturday, the Badgers lit it up from behind the arc as they connected on 18 three-pointers to blast Blue Mountain by 49 points. Snow's
Nick Huston came off the bench to hit six three-pointers en route to 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Teammate
Stockton Shorts scored 18 points as he connected on four treys, while six Badgers in all finished in double digits. Snow's 18 three-pointers at the College of Southern Idaho fell two shy of the court record of 20 held by the hometown Golden Eagles. With the victories, Snow improved to 10-3 on the season and will next travel to Mesa, Ariz., on December 28-30 for a tournament after the Christmas break.
