Box Score EPHRAIM, Utah (August 27, 2018) -- The 13th ranked Snow College women's volleyball team improved to 5-0 on the season with a 3-1 victory over Eastern Arizona on Monday night. The game marked the first home game for the Badgers and the second time the two teams have played in less than 48 hours.
Eastern Arizona took the lead late in the opening set and held on for a close 25-23 victory. But the Badgers came back to win three straight, including a 25-22 decision in the second set, a 25-18 victory in the third set and a 25-23 win in the final set.
Freshman
Ashlen Bell led the offensive attack for Snow, posting a team-high 11 kills on 32 attempts. Bell hit .313 for the match. Freshman
Autumn Spafford was credited with 10 kills, marking the third game this season with 10 or more kills. Spafford was 10-of-23 and hit .261 on the night. Both Bell and Spafford had five blocks each while freshman
Bridget Triplett led the Badgers with six blocks.
The Badgers will next take to the road for an extended road trip, traveling to both Prescott, Ariz., and Phoenix, Ariz. Snow will take on South Lake, Eastern Arizona, Yavapai College and South Mountain at the Dalton Overstreet Invitational, hosted by Yavapai College. On Monday, Sept. 3, the Badgers will take on Phoenix College. Snow's next 13 matches will be on the road.
