TWIN FALLS, Idaho (January 24, 2019) -- No. 20 Snow College struggled to get it's three-point game going against No. 19 Southern Idaho on Thursday, falling to the Golden Eagles, 91-71. Wih the loss, the Badgers drop to second place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings with a 3-2 record in conference play. The Badgers are now 18-5 on the season.
The Badgers started the game with a three-pointer to take an early 3-0 lead, but the Golden Eagles reeled of 15 straight points over the next six minutes before Snow would score again. Although the Badgers would eventually cut the CSI lead to just seven points in the second half, Southern Idaho held on and battled to the 20-point victory. Usually a sharp shooting team from three-point range, the Badgers were just 8-of-26 from behind the arc.
Sophomore
Jake Walker picked up a team-high 13 points, connecting on three of Snow's eight three-pointers.
Stockton Shorts and
Brantzen Blackner each had 10 points for the Badgers.
Brayden Johnson led the team with 10 rebounds.
Snow College will return to the friendly confines of the Horne Activity Center on Saturday to take on No. 21 Salt Lake Community College. Game time is set for 5 p.m. (MT).
