EPHRAIM, Utah (January 9, 2019) -- The Snow College women's basketball team trailed from start to finish in Thursday's Scenic West Conference opener against Utah State Eastern, falling to the Eagles, 59-33, in front of a home crowd at the Horne Activity Center. The game marked the lowest single-game scoring of the season for the Lady Badgers.
USUE scored 13 points from the free-throw line on 16 attempts, while Snow scored just three points from the charity stripe on only six attempts. The Eagles won the inside battle, scoring 24 points to the Lady Badgers' 16 points inside the paint.
Sophomore
Lexi Peterson led the Lady Badgers in scoring, posting seven points on 3-of-8 shooting from the field.
Sydney Pilling and
Josie Coleman each had six points for Snow.
Now 9-10 on the season and 0-1 in conference play, the Lady Badgers will take on Salt Lake Community College on Saturday, January 11, beginning at 3 p.m. The Lady Bruins will enter Saturday's game at 13-4 and 2-0 in the SWAC standings. SLCC most recently downed Colorado Northwestern, 76-25, and Southern Idaho, 67-55.
