TWIN FALLS, Idaho (February 8, 2020) -- After leading through three quarters, Snow College was outscored 19-5 in the final period to fall at Southern Idaho on Saturday, 61-50. With the loss, the Lady Badgers fall to 3-6 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play and remain in fourth place in the standings.
After CSI's Karmelah Dean hit a three-pointer with 8:38 remaining to take erase the Lady Badgers' lead, Snow's
Micah Gustafson put back her own layup to tie the game at 47-47 with 8:19 left. The Golden Eagles then went on a 14-3 run to close out the game.
Sophomore
Lexi Peterson led the scoring for the Lady Badgers, totaling 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from three-point range. She was also credited with six rebounds.
Sydney Pilling and
Shawnee Simpson had nine points each for the Lady Badgers. Simpson was credited with a team-leading nine rebounds on the night.
Snow will return to Ephraim on Thursday, February 13 to take on Utah State Eastern. As part of the Pack the HAC campaign, the first 500 fans wearing orange will receive an orange creamsicle. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
