EPHRAIM, Utah (March 20, 2021) -- After hitting two last-second shots to down the Lady Bruins in their previous two match-ups, today's game would have a different outcome. This time it was Salt Lake C.C. who came away with the victory, but there were no last-second shots needed. The Lady Bruins posted a 58-33 win over the Lady Badgers to pull in to a two-way tie for second place in the Scenic West Conference standings.
Entering halftime SLCC held a slim, 23-21, lead; however, in the second half, Snow struggled to find any offense, as the Lady Bruins outscore the Lady Badgers, 35-12, over the remaining two quarters. Snow shot 20 percent in the third quarter and just 12.5 percent in the fourth quarter.
Samiana Suguturaga led Snow with eight points on 4-of-7 shooting from the field.
Ashlee Edwards was credited with seven points. While freshman
Japrix Weaver was held scoreless, she was credited with a team leading nine rebounds.
Now 14-5 on the season and 9-4 in conference play, Snow will wrap up the regular season this week with a pair of road games. The Lady Badgers will play at Colorado Northwestern on Thursday, March 25 (5 p.m.) and at Utah State Eastern on Saturday, March 27 (1 p.m.).
