Box Score EPHRAIM, Utah (March 8, 2021) -- In a rare Monday night contest, the third-ranked Snow College women's volleyball team defeated Western Wyoming, 3-0, in a non-region match in Ephraim. The Badgers defeated the Mustangs in straight sets, 25-8, 25-12, 25-21.
Snow hit a blistering .522 in the first set, chalking up 14 kills on 23 attempts. In the second set, the Badgers hit .500 with 13 kills on 24 attempts. Snow hit .360 on the night while holding Western to a .074 hitting percentage. Defensively, the Badgers tallied 48 digs and a total of six blocks. Snow kept Western pinned down with its serve game, forcing 11 aces on the night.Â
Sophomore
Camden Strain led Snow with seven kills on the night, while
Bridgett Talia and
Macy Short had six kills each. Short also ledd the Badgers with a match-high three aces and 19 assists. Sophomore
Hannah Edwards was credited with a match-high 16 digs, followed by
Jentry Ison with 12.Â
With the victory, Snow College improves to 15-2 on the season and extends its home win streak to 12 straight, dating back to 2018. The Badgers will next take on Colorado Northwestern on Wednesday evening, followed by a Friday-night match-up against Utah State Eastern. Both matches will begin at 6 p.m. at the Horne Activity Center.Â
