RICHFIELD, Utah (April 8, 2021) -- Snow College scored 21 points in each of the four quarters on Thursday to defeat Colorado Northwestern, 84-60, in the first round of the Region XVIII Women's Basketball Tournament. With the victory, the Lady Badgers (16-6) will advance to the semi-final round on Friday against the top-seed Salt Lake C.C. (16-4).

Japrix Weaver led all scorers with 23 points on 7-of-15 attempts from the field, including five three-pointers. Today's performance marks the sixth time this season the freshman from Cedar City has had 20 or more points and her 15th double-digit performance.
Kennedy Eskelson rounded out the double-digit score for the Lady Badgers. Eskelson scored 13 points with three three-pointers and a perfect four-for-four effort from the charity stripe.
Friday's game between Snow College and the Lady Bruins marks the fourth time this season the two teams have met. Snow holds a 2-1 advantage in the series this season; however, SLCC won the last meeting between the two teams on March 20, 58-33.
