The Snow College men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 defeat against No. 2 Salt Lake Community College Saturday in Ephraim.
The Badgers came into the matchup having won three straight games and needing a victory if they wanted any chance of winning the Scenic West Athletic Conference and hosting a home playoff game.
The Bruins sported an unblemished 9-0 record. They defeated Snow College 1-0 in overtime September 1 and would again hold the Badgers scoreless en route to a 2-0 victory.
The Badgers and the Bruins fought to a scoreless tie at the halftime break. It was SLCC who broke through in the 59
th minute. The Bruins would strike again in the 68
th minute to take a 2-0 lead that they would hold through the final whistle to earn the victory.
Snow College now sits at 9-4 overall and 7-3 in the SWAC. They will wrap up the regular season with a matchup against No. 10 Utah State University Eastern.
