Two second-half goals lifted the Snow College women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Utah State University Eastern Saturday in Price. With the win, the Badgers improve to 7-1-1 overall on the season and 4-1-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Skye Kennedy scored both goals for the Badgers. She used a pass from
Mayu Yamamoto to give the Badgers a 1-0 lead in the 56
th minute. She found the back of the net again in the 64
th minute off an assist from
Ellie Hokanson.
The Badgers played excellent defense throughout the match. Snow College allowed zero total shots in the first half and only allowed three shots in the entire match, one of which was on goal, but was saved by McKenna Conley.
Conversely, Snow College put up 13 total shots with six of them being on goal. With the win, the Badgers have now won each of their last five matchups against the Eagles dating back to May 12, 2021.
Snow College will now return home to face the College of Southern Nevada Thursday at 1:00 p.m. followed by a match with Truckee Meadows Community College Saturday at 11:00 a.m. For video streaming and live stat information, visit snowbadgers.com.
