The No. 17 Badgers earned their way to the District Final after defeating No. 1 Salt Lake Community College 2-1 in the Region 18 Championship match.

Max Mayer started the scoring with a goal in the 33rd minute on an assist from Jack Cook. The Badgers entered halftime with the lead after turning away three Matador shots in the first half.

The Matadors knotted the game at one after converting on a penalty kick in the 57th minute. The remainder of the match was scoreless, pushing the match into its first overtime.

The Badgers took 10 shots and allowed 13 shots during regulation. Mathias Christensen saved four shots through the first 90 minutes.

The first overtime was scoreless after the Matadors didn't score on three shots. The Badgers were held to zero shots throughout the first overtime period.

Quickly after the second overtime period began, AWC scored the Golden Goal in the 101st minute of the match to claim the District Title.
