'The Snow College softball season came to an end in the Region 18 Tournament Wednesday in Taylorsville. The Badgers earned one victory to finish third in the tournament.

Snow College entered the tournament on a three-game winning streak to conclude the regular season. The Badgers took three of four games against Utah State University Eastern to clinch the three seed in the Region 18 Tournament.

As the three seed, the Badgers met up with No. 19 College of Southern Idaho, the two seed, in the first round of the tournament. The Golden Eagles struck first with a pair of runs in the second inning.

CSI added a lone tally in the third before tacking on four more in the bottom of the fourth inning. Snow College got on the board in the fifth inning as
Brooke Fisher launched a two-run homer to cut into the deficit. It wasn't enough as CSI responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning to win 10-2 via run rule.

The Badgers dropped to the consolation bracket and took on USUE, who suffered a 9-0 loss to No. 17 Salt Lake Community College in the first round. Snow College struck first on an errant throw by the USUE catcher to plate fisher.
Grace Thomas then scored on a wild pitch and the Badgers led 2-0 after one inning.

Snow College brought home four runs in the second inning starting with a two-run triple from
Chloe Tycksen that nestled into the right field corner. Fisher followed with a deep homer that cleared the centerfield wall to give the Badgers a 6-0 lead.

Fisher put the cherry on top of the win as she blasted her second homer of the game – this time a three-run blast to the opposite field to give the Badgers an 9-0 lead and the eventual run-rule victory.

Fisher's second home run of the game against USUE was her 21
st of the year and 28
th of her two-year career in a Badger uniform. The 21 homers set the program record for home runs in a season, breaking
Kamryn Allen's mark of 20 set in the 2024 season. The homer also matched Allen's career mark, tying the program record.

Avery Thorkelson was vicious inside the circle for the Badgers. She allowed just one hit and struck out two over five complete innings of work to pick up her seventh victory of the season.

Following the victory, the Badgers turned around and faced SLCC with a birth into the Region 18 Title Series on the line.

Snow College got off to a scorching start as it pushed across three runs in the opening frame. Thomas got the party started with a two-run homer to left field.
Taimane Laolagi-Aloy followed with a homer of her own to give the Badgers a 3-0 lead.

The Bruins responded immediately with three runs of their own in the bottom of the first inning to tie the game. They took the lead with a lone tally in the second inning before the Badgers squared things up at 4 with a bases-loaded walk by
Kaylee McAfee.

SLCC's offense caught fire and scored nine straight runs over the next three innings to secure the 13-4 victory and end the Badgers' season.

Fisher led the charge for the Badgers during the tournament as she went 4-6 from the plate with three homers, seven RBIs and three walks. Her efforts were enough to be the only player, other than those from CSI and SLCC, to be named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Badgers concluded the 2026 regular season with a 17-33 overall record and a 10-22 mark within Scenic West Athletic Conference play. They will prepare for a full schedule in 2027.
