OPENING SERVE: The No. 14 Snow College women's volleyball team opens Scenic West Athletic Conference play this weekend, hosting No. 4 Salt Lake Community College Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 12 p.m. inside the Horne Activity Center in Ephraim, Utah.

In non-conference play, the Badgers competed in the Scooter's Invitational, going 3-1, followed by a 2-2 finish at the LCCC Invitational. Snow College earned victories over ranked opponents No. 11 Casper College and No. 16 Colby Community College during the LCCC Invitational. The Badgers then went 2-1 at the Starr Corporation Invitational, matching their record from last season, before most recently finishing 3-1 at the Bruin Bash. At the Bruin Bash, Snow College earned a victory over No. 8 Trinity Valley Community College.

The Badgers have several statistical leaders contributing on both sides of the net. Defensively, Britani Stone leads the team with 223 digs, while Emily Kenison and Madelyn Neibaur have anchored the front row with 52 and 41 blocks.

McDaniel leads Snow College offensively with 166 kills and 3.19 kills per set, followed by Layton with 122 kills and 2.35 kills per set. Vaea has added 83 kills while hitting .233, and Kenison has recorded 78 kills with a .324 hitting percentage. Grant has helped facilitate the offense with 384 assists, averaging 7.38 per set.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Sophomore libero Britani Stone of Las Vegas, Nevada, was named the Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week following her performance at the Bruin Bash Sept. 11-12.

Stone has helped lead the Badgers defensively this season, recording 223 digs through 52 sets while averaging 4.29 digs per set. She has also been highly consistent in serve receive, posting a 93.5% reception percentage.

Stone recorded a season-high 24 digs in Snow College's five-set victory over Odessa College at the Bruin Bash. The Badgers fell 25-14 in the opening set before responding with a 25-23 victory in the second. The Wranglers took the third set 25-23, but Snow College answered with a 25-21 fourth-set win before claiming the fifth set, 16-14. Stone contributed 24 of the Badgers' 81 total digs in the match.

Through the first portion of the 2026 season, Stone has already surpassed her total from the 2025 season, when she recorded 150 digs while averaging 2.5 digs per set.

KNOW YOUR FOE: SLCC enters this weekend's matches with a 12-3 record. The Bruins average 12.8 kills per set, 14.3 digs per set and 2.2 blocks per set, with 1.3 errors per set.

The Badgers went 1-3 against the Bruins during the 2025 season, earning their lone victory at home in a four-set match. Snow College was the only team to defeat SLCC during SWAC play that season. The Badgers opened the match with back-to-back set victories, 25-23 and 25-22, before SLCC responded with a 25-20 win in the third set. Snow College closed out the match with a 26-24 victory in the fourth set.

The Bruins finished the 2025 season with a 27-6 overall record and a 9-1 mark in conference play before claiming the Region 18 championship with a four-set victory over Snow College. SLCC then defeated Central Arizona College to claim the 2025 Rocky Mountain District A championship.

The Badgers and Bruins met again at the 2025 NJCAA Division I Volleyball Championship, where SLCC entered the tournament ranked No. 8 and Snow College was ranked No. 12. On Nov. 22, SLCC defeated the Badgers 3-0 in the seventh-place match, with the Bruins finishing seventh nationally and Snow College eighth.

Overall, the Badgers hold a 19-22 record against the Bruins, including an 11-6 record at home.

LAST TIME OUT: The No. 14 Snow College women's volleyball team concluded non-conference play at the Bruin Bash Sept. 11-12, going 3-1 at the tournament. With the results, the Badgers improve to 10-5 overall entering Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

Snow College opened tournament play with a 3-1 victory over Eastern Wyoming College. The Badgers won the first set 25-13 before falling 25-21 in the second. Snow College responded by winning the third set 25-20 and closed the match with a 25-15 fourth-set victory. The Badgers recorded 47 kills, 56 digs and four blocks.

The Badgers then defeated No. 8 Trinity Valley Community College, 3-0. The Cardinals entered the weekend on a 10-match winning streak before falling to College of Southern Idaho in their match prior to facing Snow College.The victory marked Snow College's first win over TVCC in program history after falling in the teams' previous three meetings. Snow College won 25-21, 25-20 and 26-24, recording 38 kills, 58 digs and 10 blocks.

Snow College faced No. 1 Miami Dade College in its third match of the tournament, falling 3-0. The Badgers dropped the sets 25-11, 25-16 and 25-13, recording 21 kills, 27 digs and five blocks.

The Badgers closed tournament play with a 3-2 victory over Odessa College. The Badgers fell 25-14 in the opening set before responding with a 25-23 victory in the second. The Wranglers took the third set 25-23, but Snow College answered with a 25-21 fourth-set win before claiming the fifth set 16-14. The Badgers recorded 56 kills, 81 digs and 11 blocks in the match.

Throughout the tournament, Aleah McDaniel led the Badgers with 48 kills, followed by Hallie Layton with 36. Britani Stone recorded 44 digs, while Lily Grant led Snow College with 97 assists. Sydney Short added 33 assists.

Emily Kenison recorded a tournament-high nine blocks against Odessa, finishing the weekend with 17 total blocks. Marli Vaea added eight blocks against the Wranglers, while Madelyn Neibaur recorded six blocks against TVCC.
