Snow College Athletics

The Snow College men's soccer team went on the road this weekend. They first traveled to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho where they lost to No. 13 North Idaho College 3-0. Then bounced back a couple days later in Kennewick, Washington to defeat Pacific Northwest Christian College 9-0.

The first half of the game in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho was all NIC, which scored its opening goal in the second minute. The Badgers committed a handball violation just outside the keeper box and gave the Cardinals a free kick which found the back of the net. NIC put another one in the back of the net in the 14th and 35th minutes, making the half time score 3-0. 

The second half was much more even with both teams going scoreless, and NIC earned the 3-0 victory.

Snow College bounced back with a huge win in Kennewick, Washington where they clicked on all sides. Snow College ended the game with nine goals, and had their second shutout win of the season.

Michael Martinez scored a hat trick, scoring all three goals in the second half. Jorge Beltran scored a brace scoring both goals in the first half. Felix Biederman and Issac Stanley both scored goals in the first half. Aiden Gatherman and Kade Davis both scored goals in the second half.

Snow College will stay on the road and travel to Reno, Nevada Thursday at 3:30 p.m. MST, to face Truckee Meadows Community College. Then on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. MST, the Badgers will be in Twin Falls, Idaho facing the College of Southern Idaho. For video streaming and live stats information, visit snowbadgers.com.
