Badgers Defeat TMCC, Draw With CSI

The Snow College men's soccer team stayed on the road this week and earned a 1-0 victory against Truckee Meadow Community College. The Badgers then traveled to Twin Falls, Idaho and drew 1-1 to College of Southern Idaho in a thriller.

 

Snow College and TMCC had a battle in the first half in Reno as the game was scoreless at halftime. The Badgers lead in shots through the first half (8-0), with no saves on both sides.

 

The second half was similar to the first, with Snow College firing on all sides of the field but unable to hit the target. In the 58th minute, the Badgers scored the game winning goal from Issac Stanley, who netted his third goal of the season. The goal came on a penalty kick after the Lizards committed a hand-ball violation inside the 18-yard box.

 

The Badgers had 15 shots in the game while holding TMCC to zero shots throughout the match. In addition,the Badgers secured their third clean sheet of the season.

 

Snow College and CSI was much more of an even match, with the Badgers taking the lead in shots (8-1) in a scoreless first half. Shortly after the halftime break, Jace Thomson found Aidan Gatherum for his first goal of the season in the 48th minute to put the Badgers in the lead 1-0.

 

In the 82nd minute, CSI found an equalizer to score the final goal of the game, putting the final score to 1-1. The Badgers lead the game in total shots (17-6), as well on shots on goal (4-2).
