Jimmy Henry-Dempster

Jimmy Henry-Dempster enters his second season as an assistant coach for Snow College men’s basketball program. Prior to his time at Snow College, Jimmy served as a video coordinator at Utah Valley University from 2015 – 2020. During his time at UVU, the Wolverines reached new heights, making a CBI Final Four run in 2017 and winning a school-record 25 games during the 2018-19 season.

Before UVU he was an assistant coach at Highland, Taylorsville, Timpanogos, and Tustin (California) high schools from 2008-2015.
 
Prior to coaching high school basketball, he was a student manager for the BYU men’s basketball program from 2001-02 and 2004-2008. He helped the Cougars win back-to-back Mountain West Conference championships and two NCAA tournament appearances.
 
Jimmy earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a minor in Coaching from BYU in 2008. He went on to earn his master’s degree in Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine in 2012.
 
He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ribeirao Preto, Brazil from 2002-2004.
 
The Houston, Texas native is married to his wife Alicia, and they have three children; Dru, Andie and Evie.
