Mikelle Magalogo

Mikelle Magalogo was hired as the Softball Head Coach in June 2022 and is set to embark on her first season at the helm.  Magalogo comes to Snow College after a distinguished playing career at Copper Hills High School where she was named to the 5A all-region & all-state teams. She then went on to play at the College of Southern Idaho where she earned Region 18 First-Team All-Conference honors.

A catcher and first baseman, Magalogo played her last three years at SUU. As the starting catcher at SUU, she helped the Thunderbirds to a second-place finish at the Big Sky Championships in 2021.  In 2019, she earned Big Sky All-Conference honorable mention honors, starting in every game for the Thunderbirds. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Magalogo comes to Snow after spending this past year as an assistant coach at CSI and helped lead them to an appearance at the NJCAA National Tournament in Yuma, Az.

“I’m really excited for this opportunity to come to Snow College,” said Magalogo. “Being a younger coach will certainly be a challenge, but I feel confident that I can make it a strength and create a winning culture. I am looking forward to implementing a positive, family-oriented environment that helps grow the girls not only great athletes, but great people as well.”

Snow College Softball has a strong core of players returning for the coming year and look to build on their recent success. Magalogo will bring in former Badger player Brooke Brown who played at Snow in 2018-2019 to assist and retain Savannah Lindsay who acted as the interim head coach a season ago.

“I think our coaching staff will be a huge strength in rebuilding the program here at Snow,” said Magalogo. “I am so excited to take Snow softball into its new era with Brooke and Savannah by my side. I will need their help to create a winning culture as we will be setting our expectations higher to compete and win against the teams in the Scenic West Athletic Conference.”

“We have total confidence in Mikelle as the leader of Snow College Softball moving forward,” said Athletic Director Rob Nielson. “We like her enthusiasm and her commitment and we believe Snow College will be competitive immediately.”
