EPHRAIM - The #4 ranked Snow Badgers will be continuing their season when they travel to Syracuse, New York for a December 1st showdown against #3 ASA College (Brooklyn, NY).
Snow completed the 2012 regular season with a 10-1 overall record and a perfect 8-0 record in conference play while winning the WSFL Conference Championship in outright fashion for the first time since the 2008 season. Snow had a number of opportunities to play in a post-season game following the season's success and elected to play the highest ranked team in ASA College.
"First, we are thankful for the opportunity to play in a bowl game and second, we are excited to play such a great team in an incredible venue. The Carrier Dome at Syracuse University is a world-famous arena and it is a great privilege to play there," said Badger Head Coach, Tyler Hughes.
ASA College won its first-ever Northeast Football Conference Championship while running a perfect 9-0 record. They defeated then #3 Nassau CC in their final regular season contest to maintain their unblemished record. The Avengers are coached by Dennis Orlando who is in his fifth season as Head Football Coach.
The Carrier Dome is a 49,262-seat sports stadium located on the campus of Syracuse University (SU). It is the only domed stadium in the Northeast, and is the largest structure of its kind on a college campus in the country.
Since opening Sept. 20, 1980, the facility has hosted a wide variety of events. The facility serves as the home of SU football, men's and women's basketball, and men's and women's lacrosse. The "Dome" has hosted numerous rounds of NCAA championships in basketball, lacrosse and track and field and hosts regional and state scholastic competitions in football, as well as NBA preseason games.
The game is set for December 1st at 1PM and more details will follow in regards to TV/Radio broadcasting.
