Volleyball Starts Season Strong

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 Ephraim, UT --- The Lady Badger Volleyball Team began their season last weekend at the College of Southern Idaho Invitational tournament and left with some impressive team and individual stats. Defeating Northwest College, Phoenix College and Sheridan College in just three games each, the Badgers have put a stamp on their intentions for the rest of the season. "We are in a good place and the team will only get better. With two tournaments left in preseason we will be ready for the always challenging SWAC" comments Head Coach #Keven John#.

In just 12 games, middle blocker, #Katie Vincent# led the team in hitting efficiency with a hitting percentage of .470, total blocks with 16, and tied for the lead in total kills at 33.

Outside hitter, #Amy Sorensen# tied with Vincent with 33 kills and passed an impressive 2.65 in serve receive.

Freshman outside, #Taylor Castillo# finished just behind Vincent and Sorensen with 32 kills.

The team had strong performances across the board and the entire roster, with the exception of injured #Nicole Koehler#, played extended minutes.

The team played in the Salt Lake Community College tournament this weekend and are bringing home another three wins.
