Romain Boxus ally-oop dunk, gave the Badgers a commanding 27-6 lead in the first half and propelled Snow to a 97-69 victory over Colorado Northwestern on Thursday. The victory avenges an earlier two-point loss to the Spartans nearly a month ago in Rangely and ends a three-game losing streak for the Badgers. With the win, Snow College improves to 13-13 on the season and 3-7 in league play while CNCC falls to 8-17 on the season and 1-8 in the SWAC standings.
Logan Hokanson led the Badgers with a game-high 21 points on 6-of-11 shooting, including 3-of-7 attempts from three-point range. He was also a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line and was credited with five assists. Shorts collected 16 points on the night, fueled by a 4-for-5 effort from three-point range. Shorts was also credited with five assists. Boxus added 15 points on the night with five rebounds.
Traycer Wilson,
Jake Bailey and shorts also had five rebounds each in the victory.
Snow will have a week off to prepare for its final two conference games. The Badgers will next travel to Twin Falls, Idaho on Thursday, Feb. 22 to take on Southern Idaho. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
