EPHRAIM, Utah (January 10, 2019) -- The Snow College men's basketball team dropped a 101-89 decision to Southern Idaho on Friday, marking the Badgers first home loss of the season. After the Badgers tied the game at 51-51 with 16:44 remaining in the second half, the Gold Eagles outscored the Badgers 50-38 throughout the remainder of the second half. Both teams shot 33-of-66 from the field; however, it was Southern Idaho that took advantage of 35 trips to the free-throw line, compared to the Badgers' 14 free-throw attempts that made the difference in the game.
Despite battling the flu,
Truman Moore led the Badgers with 27 points on 11-of-14 shooting. Moore also had six rebounds in the game.
Logan Hokanson had 15 points on the night, including three three-pointers. Three other Snow College players scored in double digits, including
Stockton Shorts (11),
Nick Huston (10), and
Brayden Johnson (10).
The Badgers, now 15-4 on the season and 0-1 in league play, will travel to Salt Lake Community College on Saturday. Game time is set for 5 p.m. (MT)
