Box Score PRICE, Utah (February 14, 2019) -- The Snow College men's basketball team overcame a slow start in the first half to take a crucial 73-63 win over Utah State Eastern. The win improved the Badgers' league record to 7-3 on the season, and with two games remaining in the regular season, Snow moves into a half-game lead over Southern Idaho (6-3) in the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings.
The Badgers made just 9-of-29 shots (31 percent) and trailed 28-29 after the first half of play. In the second half, however, Snow outscored the Eagles, 45-34, behind 11-of-18 (61 percent) shooting, including six three-pointers. The Badgers also shot 91 percent from the free-throw line, connecting on 17-of-19 shots from the charity stripe in the second half. Sophomore
Logan Hokanson led the Badgers with a game-high 21 points, including four three-pointers and a perfect 9-for-9 from the free-throw line.
Truman Moore was credited with 14 points and a game-high seven rebounds.
The Badgers, now 22-6 on the season and winners of four of their last five games, will travel to Salt Lake CC on Saturday, Feb. 16. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m. (MT).
