SALT LAKE CITY (Feb. 16, 2019) -- After leading 33-29 at the half, the Snow College women's basketball team was outscored 17-6 in the third quarter and eventually fell to Salt Lake CC on Saturday, 61-55. The loss ended an eight-game win streak for the Lady Badgers and moved them in to a tie with SLCC for first place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings.
Savannah Lucero and
Sydney Pilling had 11 points each for the Lady Badgers, and
Paige Farnsworth added 10 points.
Megan Carr was credited with nine points and nine rebounds for the Lady Badgers.
The Lady Badgers will prepare to take on Southern Idaho on Thursday, Feb. 21. A win against CSI would guarantee Snow at least a share of the regular-season conference title. Should SLCC defeat Colorado Northwestern on Saturday, Feb. 23, the Lady Bruins hold the first-place tiebreaker for the top-seed at the upcoming SWAC Tournament.
