Box Score PRICE, Utah (March 2, 2019) -- For the first time in 49 years, the Snow College men's basketball team has won the Region 18 Title after taking down Southern Idaho on Saturday night, 76-69.
In a game that saw the lead change nine different times, the Badgers took the advantage for good on a Braydon Johnson three-pointer with 5:08 remaining in the game. With 4:29 left, the 6-foot-7 forward connected on his third-straight three-pointer to give Snow a 64-61 lead. The Badgers would extend the lead to seven points to end the game.Â
Johnson, a freshman from Draper, Utah (Corner Canyon HS) led Snow with a game-high 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field, including 6-of-8 from three-point range.
Truman Moore and Darrin Nebeker had 12 points each for the Badgers.
The Badgers will now prepare to take on the winner of Region 1 next Saturday, March 9 at the site of the Region 1 Champion. The winner of the District Playoff game will advance to the NJCAA National Championship Tournament.Â
