LAS VEGAS (March 17, 2021) -- It's difficult enough to pick up a crucial conference, road win at this point in the season, but it's a monumental task when—due to rescheduling because of COVID—to pick up two important wins on the road, on back-to-back nights, against the same conference opponent. That's what the Snow College women's basketball team faced this week. And, like the competitors they are, the Lady Badgers came away with back-to-back wins against Southern Nevada.
On Tuesday, led by
Ashlee Edwards' nine points and 10 rebounds, and 15 points from
Danielle Ross, the Lady Badgers racked up a 25-point victory over CSN, 68-43. On Wednesday, the game was much closer; however, Snow College came away with the 66-57 victory. Freshman
Japrix Weaver led the Lady Badgers with a double-double performance, including 11 points and 11 rebounds. Three other players were in double-digits, including
Kennedy Eskelson who totaled a team-high 13 points.
Passion Reitz and
Ashlee Edwards each had 12 points in the nine-point victory.
With a pair of wins, the Lady Badgers improve to 14-4 on the season, and 9-3 in the Scenic West Conference. Snow is currently tied with Southern Idaho for the lead in the conference standings. The Lady Badgers will return to Ephraim to take on Salt Lake C.C. on Saturday, March 20. Game time is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
