The Snow College women's soccer team garnered a thrilling 1-0 double-overtime victory over Truckee Meadows Community College in the first round of the Region 18 Conference Tournament Thursday in Herriman, Utah.

The Badgers entered the opening match of the tournament as the top seed after winning the Scenic West Athletic Conference Regular Season Title.  They were pitted against the Lizards of TMCC for the third time this season.  Snow College won the previous match 3-1 Oct. 8.

Thursday's matchup did not disappoint.  Things were very even through the first 90 minutes of the match.  Snow College was able to put up 10 shots while the Lizards were able to put up nine shots.

The Badgers thought they had scored a goal in the second half, but it was called back because Snow College was offsides.  Both teams had opportunities to score in regulation, but neither could push through which sent the match into overtime.

The first overtime period when uneventful with only three total shots.  The match moved to the second overtime.  Needing a goal to prevent going to penalty kicks, Snow College broke through with under 90 sec before the end of the overtime period.

Kennley Bradley leaped into the air and headed one towards the left side of the goal and past the keeper to give the Badgers the 1-0 victory and a berth into the Region 18 Title Game. Â

Mckenna Conley played all 109 minutes in goal and turned away six TMCC shots on goal to aid in the shutout.  In total, Snow College put up 16 shots with nine shots on goal.Â

The Badgers will now take on Salt Lake Community College for the tournament title.  Snow College split the season series with the Bruins losing the first matchup 2-0 Sept. 1.  The Badgers then won 4-2 Oct. 15.  The matchup will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman.  For video streaming and live stat information, visit snowbadgers.com.
