The Snow College men's basketball team suffered a 91-76 loss against No. 4 Salt Lake Community College Thursday in Taylorsville. The Badgers have now lost three in a row and five out of the last six dating back to Dec. 27.

Snow College came into the game after falling in a tight matchup against the College of Southern Nevada last week.  The Badgers trailed by one point with less than a minute to play but would eventually suffer the 91-87 loss.

The Badgers got out to a slow start to begin Thursday's game.  SLCC opened the game on a 16-4 run in the first four and a half minutes.  Snow College shot 57 percent from the field in the first half but had a hard time containing the Bruin's offensive attack. SLCC also shot 57 percent from the field in addition to going 9-18 from 3-point range.  The Bruins went into the halftime break leading 54-39.

SLCC extended its lead to 69-48 with 13:25 to go in the second half.  The Bruins would lead by as many as 24 points in the second half.  Snow College would cut into the deficit but would ultimately suffer a 91-76 loss. Â

The Badgers would end up shooting 52 percent from the field but connected on just 25 percent from beyond the arc throughout the game.  SLCC, the nation's number four scoring offense, shot 52 percent from the field while going 11-28 from distance. Â

Zach Visentin scored a career-high 29 points to lead all scorers while also grabbing eight rebounds. Â
Clayton Southwick put in 17 points while
Chase Potter had 11 points for the Badgers.

Snow College will continue its three-game road swing against Utah State University Eastern and Colorado Northwestern Community College.  Snow College defeated USUE 66-64 in Price Dec. 14 followed by an 89-61 victory over the Spartans Dec. 16 in Ephraim. Â

The Badgers will take on the Eagles Thursday, Jan. 26 with tip off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.  Snow College will then head to Rangely, Colorado to take on the Spartans Saturday, Jan. 28 with tip off slated for 3:00 p.m.  For video streaming and live stat information, visit snowbadgers.com.
