The Snow College Badgers suffered two heartbreaking losses this past week, facing Salt Lake Community College and the College of Southern Idaho. With the Badgers fighting hard, they won one set agent SLCC. Despite their best efforts, the Badgers fell in three sets to the 10th-ranked CSI

Snow College came into the week with a great win, sweeping College of Southern Nevada 3-0 Oct. 7. The win was the 15th consecutive victory for the Badgers over the Coyotes.

Facing SLCC, the Badgers were quick to work, putting up a score of 4-0 in the beginning of the first set. With some great attacks at the end, the Badgers were able to win the first set, 25-22.

The Badgers slipped in the second set, therefore leading to SLCC winning the set 25-14. The Badgers fought hard after that but allowed SLCC to win the third set 25-21, and the fourth set 25-23.

 Against CSI, the Badgers came out strong, taking a 4-1 lead in the set, but CSI stormed back, scoring five straight points. From then on, there were consistent rallies from each team until the Golden Eagles took a permit lead while the score was 18-14. The Badgers fought back hard but were just shy of winning, with the set ending 25-21.

In the second set, the Golden Eagles scored ten out of eleven points midway through the set, making the score 18-11. CSI would go on to score each of the final four points to win the set 25-14.

In the third set, CSI started strong, taking a 13-6 lead. The Golden Eagles ended the set by scoring ten consecutive points to win the set 25-9, and earn the 3-0 victory.

Over the two games, Maggie Larson had 13 kills. Kinley Kerbs had 17 digs and 22 assists. Grace Holley had 21 digs, and Corinne Taysom handed out 29 assists.

The Snow College Badgers will be on the road for the rest of the regular season, matching up with the Colorado Northwestern Community College Spartans and the Utah State University Eastern Eagles.
