GAME NOTES
• The Snow College men's basketball team will begin the first round of the Region 18 tournament by taking on the top-seeded and undefeated College of Southern Idaho Thursday in Twin Falls. Â

• Thursday's game will be the fourth meeting between the Badgers and the Golden Eagles this season. Snow College has lost all three matchups so far losing 101-64 Jan. 5 in Twin Falls and then losing two matchups in Ephraim, an 83-78 loss Feb. 2 followed by a 79-65 defeat Feb. 15.
• Snow College led the Golden Eagles at halftime in their Feb. 2 matchup. The Golden Eagles shot 75 percent from the field and 70 percent from 3-point range in the second half to earn the five-point victory. This was the only game all season the Badgers lost after leading at halftime.
• The Badgers completed the season sweep of Colorado Northwestern Community College over the weekend winning 84-59 in Rangely, Colorado. Snow College won all three matchups against the Spartans by an average margin of 25.7 points per game.
• Sophomore Chase Potter led the Badgers in scoring throughout the regular season averaging 13.1 points per game. Zach Visentin was second on the team in scoring with 11.5 points per game.
• The Golden Eagles are the No. 1-ranked team in the NJCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball Rankings. They hold an unblemished 29-0 overall record and a 17-0 mark within the Scenic West Athletic Conference.
• CSI sports a top-10 offense as it averages 92.7 points per game, which is ninth overall. In addition to a top-10 offense, the Golden Eagles are sixth in the nation at opponent's field goal percentage at just 37.9 percent.
• Snow College's last victory over the Golden Eagles was an 86-79 victory in the second round of the Region 18 tournament last season. The Badgers are 36-16 all time against CSI.
• The Badgers lost 95-61 to Salt Lake Community College in the Region 18 Tournament Championship last season.
LAST TIME OUT
The Snow College men's basketball team earned a dominant victory against Colorado Northwestern Community College Saturday afternoon in Rangely, Co. This was the final game of the regular season for the Badgers as they will now prepare for the playoffs.Â
Snow College entered Saturday's matchup coming off of two assertive victories over Christian Community College. In Friday's game, the Badgers soared to a 131-54 victory as every player on the team scored in double figures. Saturday's game saw Snow College cruise to a 128-55 win on 62 percent shooting from the field.Â
The Badgers would open the game on a 12-0 run as they took early control over the Spartans. Snow College continued throughout the first half to push the lead as they led by as many as 19 points at the halfway mark.Â
In the first half of play, Zach Visentin and Gaige Savage led the team in scoring with nine points each. Colin Christensen followed closely behind as he finished the half with eight points. The first half came to a close with the Badgers leading 39-25.
As the second half was underway, Snow College continued to dominate. The team led by as many as 30 points towards the closing minutes of the matchup. Visentin continued to excel offensively as he contributed 11 second-half points on 4-4 shooting.Â
The Badgers' shooting improved by over 20 percent in the second half when compared to their first-half shooting. The Spartans on the other hand continued to struggle as they went just 27 percent from the field.
Snow College would go on to earn a powerful 84-59 victory over CNCC to close the regular season. The Badgers were led in scoring by Visentin who dropped 20 points on 8-11 shooting from the field. In addition to Visentin's strong performance, three other Snow College players scored in double figures. Chase Potter finished with 12 points while Christensen and Savage contributed 11 points each.
The Badgers closed the regular season with an overall record of 19-11 and a 10-8 record within the Scenic West Athletic Conference. They will now turn their attention to postseason play starting next week.
