The Snow College women's soccer team has been ranked 15th in the National Junior College Athletics Association Preseason Poll, which was released Monday afternoon.

The Badgers are coming off a season that saw them go 13-2-1 overall.  They also were crowned the Scenic West Athletic Conference Regular Season Champions after going 9-1-1 within conference play.

Snow College was ranked each week of the 2022 season and climbed as high as 7th in the week 9 poll.  The Badgers won their final nine regular-season games, including a 4-2 victory over No. 4 Salt Lake Community College Oct. 15, to earn the SWAC Regular-Season crown.  They defeated Truckee Meadows Community College 1-0 in the first round of the Region 18 Tournament before bowing out to SLCC in the SWAC Championship.

The Badgers played a total of four ranked opponents last season going 2-2 in those matchups.  They defeated No. 13 Casper Community College 4-1 Aug. 27 in addition to the 4-2 win vs No. 4 SLCC Oct. 15.  SLCC is the only scheduled opponent that landed on the preseason poll the Badgers will face this season.

The Bruins came in ranked 2nd behind Iowa Western Community College, who received 160 points and all eight first-place votes.  Tyler Junior College, Eastern Florida State College, and Monroe Community College rounded out the top five.

Snow College will have a new man at the helm this season as the team will be led by Brock Ogami, who took over as the head coach in April.  Ogami comes to Snow College from Louisiana State University Eunice where he served as the head coach for the women's soccer team for the 2022 season.  He led his team to a 9-4-1 overall record for the Bengals, a Division I program, who play within Region 23 of the NJCAA.

The Badgers will take on Spokane Community College in their final exhibition game Thursday before beginning regular-season play at home versus Western Wyoming Community College Aug. 23.  They will travel to Casper, Wyoming to take on CCC Aug. 26 before returning home to take on No. 2 SLCC Sept. 2 to begin SWAC play.
