Women's Soccer Scores 20 Goals in Victories Versus TMCC, PNCC

The Snow College women's soccer team collected a pair of victories over Truckee Meadows Community College and Pacific Northwest Christian College over the weekend.  The Badgers scored a total of 20 goals over the two games defeating the Lizards 8-1 and beating the Gladiators 12-0.
 
The Badgers were coming off a 3-2 loss against the College of Southern Nevada the week prior.  They entered the weekend matchups with a 2-1 overall record.


Emily Morrill got the scoring started for the Badgers in the third minute of action against the Lizards.  TMCC even the score just a few minutes later as Rylee Husted, who is third in the nation in goals scored, tied the game at 1 in the 12th minute.
 
The Badgers exploded offensively in the second half scoring seven goals within a 21-minute span.  Madelyn McQueen and Saige Meryhew each scored two goals.  McQueen recorded hers in the 68th and 72nd minutes while Meryhew struck in the 76th and 87th minute.  
 
Ali Spencer, Emma Jensen, and Rylee Everton all scored goals throughout the second half as well, helping the Badgers earn the convincing 8-1 victory.
 
The offensive momentum carried over into Saturday for the Badgers as they welcomed the PNCC Gladiators to the Scenic West Athletic Conference.  Snow College put up a dozen goals en route to its second shutout victory of the season. 
 
The Badgers put up 76 total shots including 35 shots on goal.  Defensively, the Badgers didn't allow a single shot throughout the entire match.
 
Madelyn McQueen, Kennedy Allen, Ali Spencer, and Megan Hansen each scored two goals during the match. Daisha Wagner, Hadlie Bullock, Everton, and Breanne Wayman each scored a goal to aid in the 12-0 victory.
 
The Badgers, having now won four out of their last five matches, have improved to 4-2 overall and 3-1 within SWAC play. They will welcome Utah State University Eastern, who sit atop the SWAC standings, to town Thursday at 1:00 p.m.
