Max Triplett has been named the Scenic West Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.  This comes after he helped the Badgers earn two victories at the Aztec Classic over the weekend.

Triplett averaged 15.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game on 52 percent shooting from the field.  He scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the Badgers' 83-79 loss against Pima Community College on day two of the tournament.

Triplett, a sophomore from Huntsville, Utah, has played and started in all 15 games for the Badgers this season.  He is averaging 16.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while playing an average of 27 minutes a night for the 14-1 Badgers, who are the No. 5 team in the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Poll.

Triplett has scored in double figures in 13 of the Badgers' 15 games this season including five contests in which he scored 20 points. He recorded a career-high with a 27-point performance in the Badgers' 116-50 victory over Utah Prep Basketball Nov. 1.  He has also recorded two double-doubles on the season.

The Badgers own a 14-1 overall record this season after starting the year winning each of their first 13 games.  They will wrap up their non-conference schedule Thursday against Jump Start Academy in Ephraim.  Snow College will begin SWAC play Wednesday, Jan. 10 against North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

The matchup with Jump Start Academy is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. inside the Horne Activity Center.  For video streaming and live stat information, visit snowbadgers.com.
