Men's Basketball Kicks Off Conference Play Against NIC, CSI

GAME NOTES:
  • The Snow College men's basketball team will begin Scenic West Athletic Conference play and take on North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Wednesday, and the College of Southern Idaho Saturday.

  • The Badgers are coming off a 121-87 victory against Jump Start Academy last week.  With the victory, the No. 10 Badgers finished their non-conference schedule with a 15-1 overall record.  This comes following a 2022-23 season that saw them go 8-1 in non-conference play.

  • The 121 points the Badgers scored against the Rebels was the highest point total they have recorded this season.  They have scored 100 or more points in six games this season and are averaging 94.1 points per game as a team, which is 11th overall in the country.

  • Snow College is currently in the top ten in the nation in two categories.  The Badgers are shooting 53.4 percent from the field, which is good for fifth overall, and average just 10.7 turnovers per game, which slots them at eighth overall.

  • Over his last three games, Dylan Jones has shot 52 percent from beyond the arc going 13-25 during that stretch.  Jones has been one of the best 3-point shooters in the country as his 48 made 3-pointers this season is tied for 12th overall in Division I.

  •  NIC has returned to the SWAC after being a member of the Northwest Athletic Conference for the previous seven seasons.  The Badgers are 5-15 overall against the Cardinals since 2012 and have lost eight straight games dating back to 2015.

  • CSI owns an 11-5 record this season but is currently riding a three-game winning streak.  This comes after the Golden Eagles went 29-2 during the 2022-23 campaign and suffered an early exit in the NJCAA National Tournament.  The Badgers handed them their first loss of the season in the first round of the Region 18 Tournament last year.

  • Wednesday's matchup with the Cardinals is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. with Saturday's game slated for a 3:00 p.m. tipoff.  For video streaming and live stat information, visit snowbadgers.com.
