Women's Soccer Takes on TMCC, CSI in Final Regular Season Matches

OPENING KICKOFF: The Snow College women's soccer team will wrap up the regular season traveling to Truckee Meadows Community College Thursday at 1 p.m. in Reno, Nevada.

Following the match at TMCC, the Badgers will then visit the College of Southern Idaho Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. in Twin Falls, Idaho.

The No. 5 Badgers are currently at the top of the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings with a 10-1-1 conference record. The Badgers can clinch first place by winning both remaining games. The Badgers could also clinch first with one win in either of their remaining games and Salt Lake Community College loses or draws one of its remaining matches.

The conference tournament will be held at SLCC in Taylorsville, Utah due to the Bruins men's soccer team clinching first place in their conference standings.

KNOW YOUR FOE: The Badgers are 10-1-1 against the Lizards historically after winning the earlier matchup this season 8-0. The Badgers are 5-1-0 when playing on the road this season with their lone loss coming against SLCC, 2-0.

TMCC is coming off a split weekend after losing 3-0 to SLCC and defeating Colorado Northwestern Community College 1-0.

The Lizards are 4-5-3 in conference play this season and are currently tied for fourth place with CNCC and CSI. TMCC is fighting for the last spot in the conference tournament.

Snow College will then travel to CSI who is 4-5-3 and is also tied for fourth place with TMCC and CNCC. CSI is coming off a winless weekend after a 0-0 draw against CNCC and a 2-0 loss against SLCC.

The Badgers defeated the Golden Eagles 3-0 in the first ever matchup earlier this season. This was the last win in a five-game win streak, the longest win streak for the Badgers this season.

LAST TIME OUT: The Snow College women's soccer team continued its win streak after defeating North Idaho College 2-0 and Pacific Northwest Christian College 13-0 over the weekend.

The No. 5 Badgers entered the weekend on a two-game win streak after a 1-0 victory over the then No. 6 Salt Lake Community College and a 3-2 victory over Colorado Northwestern Community College.

The Badgers now hold a 13-1-1 overall record and a 10-1-1 conference mark and are sitting in first place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings. Snow College sits just in front of SLCC, NIC, and CNCC.

Emily Morrill started the scoring quickly against NIC with a goal in the 8th minute to give the Badgers an early 1-0 lead. Liv Harding extended the Badgers lead with an unassisted goal in the 45th minute.
The remainder of the game was scoreless with the Badgers taking a total of 20 shots throughout the game. Snow College limited NIC to two shots the entire game with Hayley Ogden turning away the only shot on goal.

The Badgers then traveled to Kennewick, Washington to take on the Gladiators. The Badgers defeated the Gladiators 14-0 earlier in the season.

The Badgers got off to a hot start with four goals in the first eight minutes of the game. The first goal was in the 2nd minute, netted by Bailee Ballard off a cross from Daisha Wagner. Ali Spencer quickly extended the lead, scoring in the 4th minute from Harding.

Ballard scored again in the 6th minute for her 12th goal of the season on an assist from Brooklyn Bradley. Megan Hanson then scored the fourth Badger goal in the 8th minute on a pass from Katie Anderson.

After the second half began, Eastman scored again in the 55th minute on an assist from Ellie Cook to reopen the scoring for the Badgers. Cook then netted a goal for herself in the 60th minute off a cross by Harding.

Harding scored her team leading 18th goal in the 64th minute assisted by Cook. Harding currently is tied in seventh place in the nation with 18 goals.

Shellabarger then scored a pair of goals to wrap up the scoring for the Badgers with her first coming in the 68th minute of the match. Shellabarger then scored the final goal for the Badgers in the 84th minute.  Thurgood provided the assists for both goals. The Badgers ended the game winning 13-0.

Hayley Ogden turned away the lone Gladiator shot, pushing her season save total to 26. The Badgers limited NIC and PNWCC to three total shots with two shots on goal over the weekend.
