Matthew Ayres has been hired as the Snow College women's soccer assistant coach, the team announced Wednesday. Ayres will join the program led by
Brock Ogami, who is entering his fourth season at the helm.
Â
Ayres comes to Snow College from Bristol Community College, where he served as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach for one season. During that time, he helped the Bayhawks finish the season with an 11-2-1 overall record and a 9-0-1 region record.
Â
During that season, Ayres helped coach the team that went on to win the Northeast Division and Region 21 Championships within the NJCAA Division III. Among that team were six All-Region selections and one All-American selection.
Â
Ayres completed a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management from Johnson & Wales University in 2021. He went on to earn a Master's Degree in Sports Management from Southern Methodist University in 2023. Ayres prepped at Baker High School in Mobile, Alabama, graduating in 2017.
Â
"I'm honored to work at Snow College under Brock," Ayres said. "I'm excited to continue building a championship-winning culture with our great student-athletes."
Â
Ayres will join the team immediately and help prepare for the 2026 season in the fall.
