Caroline Penrod of the Snow College women's soccer team has been named the Scenic West Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Penrod was in goal as the Badgers earned a 5-0 victory against Colorado Northwestern Community College last Saturday in Ephraim. This was Penrod's second shutout in goal for the Badgers this season.

Penrod faced just two shots Saturday against the Spartans and turned away both of them. She was also in goal for the Badgers during their first meeting with CNCC earlier this season, which was also a shutout.

So far this season, Penrod has faced 16 shots on goal and recorded 13 saves. She has saved three goals this season across five appearances, all starts, in goal this year. She has compiled a 3-1-1 record in those five starts.

Penrod, a freshman from Springville, Utah, will look to help the Badgers maintain their eight-game unbeaten streak Thursday against North Idaho College. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the Snow College Soccer Complex in Ephraim. For video streaming and live stats information, visit snowbadgers.com.
