The Snow College women's basketball team suffered a 76-62 loss against the College of Southern Idaho Saturday night in Ephraim. This is the fifth consecutive loss for the Badgers.
Snow College entered the matchup with CSI following a
71-68 loss against North Idaho College. Saturday's matchup with the Golden Eagles would serve as the final home game of the regular season for the Badgers.
After grabbing a quick two-point lead, the Badgers found themselves trailing for much of the first quarter. They were able to tie the game a few times throughout the period before entering the second quarter trailing 15-13.
The lead teeter-tottered between the two teams in the opening minutes of the second quarter before a 17-6 extended run from the Golden Eagles gave them a 34-25 lead with under two minutes to play in the half. They would take a seven-point lead into the intermission.
CSI maintained the lead throughout the entirety of the third quarter. They led by as many as 18 points before taking a 55-39 lead into the final stanza. The Badgers were never able to trim the lead below 13 points and would go on to suffer the 76-62 loss.
Maliyah Elliot led the Badgers with 14 points and four rebounds.
Brooke Pennington added 13 points and dished five assists in the loss.
Snow College will now head onto the road for the final time this season and take on the College of Southern Nevada and Salt Lake Community College.
